RISE #4 How To Use Content To Make Sales

It is FREEZING cold here in St. Louis. Hope to warm you up with some tips.

In This Episode Full Of Innovative Marketing Tips and Resources:

-Answering a viewer question about contacting sales prospects:

Question: I joined the AGC. Association of General Contractors. They are helping me a great deal. They will even print mailing labels for all 450 members for me to do an intro letter. And they have a book with ALL the top contacts of ALL members. I’m doing a mail piece after Jan 5 and then going to all meetings I can. And I’ll start phone follow up late Jan. Any suggestions?

Thank you to Sherrie White from White Signs for submitting a question to the show. You can submit a question on pretty much anything related to your business, marketing, social media, yadda yadda via email, Twitter and/or Facebook. For details, check out the Ask David page.

-Sales Letter 1.0 vs. Sales Letter 2.0.

-The power of content marketing even in sales.

Notes & Corrections & Itty Bitty Details

Due to my highly caffeinated lifestyle, a few mistakes will pop up hear and there (*wink*)

I mentioned our Facebook Fan Page as the place where Sherrie submitted her question. However, stupidly, I gave the wrong address. It is facebook/risetothetop

And since I didn’t say it in this episode, I’ll say it here. If you want some fluff, go pet a bunny :)

Nice little piece of advice, especially for all the salesmen and spammers out their that need to add value to how they market. Another addition to the advice or tips that someone gives out is to ask questions about the person's business, this way you are creating the 2 way conversation, kind of what the 2.0 model is all about. It also shows that you are interested in them and that you care.

Keep doing the Q & A's I think that is the best way to really connect with people on their level and help them with their real issues.

For your show, I think you should put the episode # after the title of the episode.
  • Glad you enjoyed it. Great suggestion and obviously making it compelling and conversational always works.

Cool. I will add the episode titles in.

Are you thinking after or before?
