RISE #18 Build Your Business By Mastering The Art Of The Email Introduction

Sometimes It Is The Little Things That Build Your Business The Most

Tip: Know two people that should be introduced to each other? Send an email introduction.

It will build their business. It will build your business. The more you give and connect, the more it will come back around.

Karma in business isn’t fluffy bunny stuff, it is a business building machine.

Be a great connector be like Neil Patel at Quick Sprout or Bob Burg the co-author of The Go Giver or Ria Sharon of My Mommy Manual or Dixie Gillaspie affectionately known as Dixie Dynamite.

Try introducing someone once a week. I bet you will like it so much you will end up doing it much more often.

Here is an example:

Promotional Partner: Shoeboxed

Shoeboxed makes dealing with pesky business cards and receipts a breeze. Especially if you are trying to eliminate clutter (who isn’t?). They send you a prepaid envelope, you shove your business cards/receipts inside, they make it digital. Then all you have to do is log on to Shoeboxed and everything is at your fingertips. Check it out and try it for FREE at Shoeboxed.com/rise (enter the promo code RISE if you decide to get a subscription for a discount!)

Thanks To Our Local Presenting Sponsor Johnny Londoff Chevrolet

I wanted to tell you about a deal I worked out with Johnny Londoff. He believes in our mission and wants to help businesspeople like yourself – especially during tough times like we are in.  So if you tell him that you heard about his store through RISE- you will get SUPPLIER PRICING.  This deal is unbelievable – no negotiation is necessary.  All you have to do is pick the vehicle you want and the terms are pre-negotiated.  You will have a hard time finding a deal like this anywhere else.

Discussion:

What about you? Any great connecting stories? Awesome people you were introduced to? Or good things that happened when you introduced? We would all love to hear ‘em!

  • You did it! You answered my question from Twitter with your blog post this week but with a twist I hadn't expected but will definitely use. Thanks for the great tip... and for being in touch with your fans.
  • Jason - My pleasure and glad it was helpful for you :)

Hey Dave- Love the visual of "petting a bunny" on this one. Great work :)

  • John - Hehe. Oh the bunny.
  • David, I'm digging your videos and your personality - I found this particular one a bit trivial but I guess you can't take for granted simple concepts that can turn into BIG things.

Found you because of a Tweet from BetterHomes & Gardens Real Estate yesterday, good tools!
  • Appreciate the input! Definitely experimenting and seeing where people find the most value. I agree today was a very simple one but wanted it to be a bit of a friendly reminder. More meaty stuff tomorrow :)

What kinds of stuff are you really liking that you would like to see more of? Web tools? Strategy?

I didn't see that Tweet, I'll have to look it up! Where was it?!
  • I'm more the strategy type person since I'm always trying new things and ways to engage the consumer without killing them with hard sales.

Here's the link to the tweet http://twitter.com/BHGRealEstate/status/8251795635
  • Got it! Awesome to hear your input. I think you will love tomorrow's and Friday's show.
