RISE #60: Turning Your Videos Into Customers With Craig Daniel From Visible Gains

I’m always preaching about online video on the show because it is something that is so vital to business efforts moving forward. Putting video on the web is getting cheaper and faster by the day (just ask Steve Garfield) and there are so many ways it can be utilized and really is second best to a one-on-one connection with someone.

For example, some uses of online video for business:

1. Inbound marketing: Bringing people to your website.

2. Entertaining, inspiring, teaching, interviewing.

3. Product demos.

4. Authentic video testimonials.

5. Converting people into customers.

Today we are focusing on #5 so I went out and found the expert in this space and that is Craig Daniel and Visible Gains. Their focus is to convert and they can show you how to do it. In this interview Craig and I discuss for you:

-The art of converting customers via video.

-Best practices and what to avoid.

-Why you don’t need a zillion dollar setup for this to be beneficial.

-Visible Gains and their amazing offerings including interactive video apps.

+ more.

You can of course check out their website for more information and would love to hear your thoughts below.

  • Great stuff -- online video is awesome stuff -- I love doing off the cuff things with my Flip cam now -- Craig just sealed the deal for me on the Kodak cam though -- need that external mic.
  • We like the Kodak because the sound is great. The Flip is fun too and a little easier to use, but the external mic is necessary for business video.
  • The zi8 is definitely the way to go. I have one I use sometimes with some super cheap mics (Steve Garfield shows his setup in the interview we did and I copied it). Works like a charm.
